Course Length: 5 days Overview Novell's Guide to CompTIA's Linux+ with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 teaches basic Linux administrative skills as they apply to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (SLES11). Specifically, this course covers the objectives outlined for the CompTIA Linux+ exam as they apply to SLES11. In the case that SLES11 does not provide a specific functionality covered in the objectives, such as SELinux or Debian package management, a brief summary is included. Audience This course is ideal for those who have little or no experience with Linux and who are seeking a fundamental understanding of the SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 operating system. - Managing Directories and Files in the Linux System
- Using YaST to Administer the System
- Using the Command Line Interface to Administer the System

Prerequisite Before taking this course, Students should have solid knowledge of how to use a graphical user interface, such as Microsoft Windows XP or Mac OS X, and should be familiar with PC basics including partitions, file systems, directories, files, and fundamental TCP/IP networking concepts. Students need basic administration know-how in a Windows environment. While existing Linux knowledge would be helpful, it is not absolutely required.
