Overview This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to maintain a SQL Server 2008 database. Students will focus on using SQL Server 2008 product features and tools related to maintaining the database. Students will learn to install and configure SQL Server 2008 and transfer data into and out of the SQL Server database. Students will also be able to manage database files and backup and restore databases. Furthermore, students will be skilled in automating administrative skills and managing security. Finally, students will be capable of replicating data between SQL Server instances and maintaining high availability.
Audience This course is intended for IT Professionals who administer and maintain SQL Server databases.
Outline
Prerequisites Before attending this course, students must have basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and its core functionality. Students must also have working knowledge of Transact-SQL and relational databases. In addition, students must have experience with database design. |
