Overview This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to administer and automate Microsoft SQL Server 2005 databases and servers. This course focuses on the need to maintain administering and automation information.
Audience This course is intended for current database administrators who have three or more years of on-the-job experience administering SQL Server database solutions in an enterprise environment.
Outline
Prerequisites Before attending this workshop, students must understand how replication works and implemented, have working knowledge of source control software, networking, and security infrastructures. They should be able to design a database to third normal form (3NF) and know the trade offs when backing out of the fully normalised design and designing for performance and business requirements in addition to being familiar with design models, such as Star and Snowflake schemas.
