|
Course Length: 5 days.
Overview Based on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10, this course provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage all Linux distributions. Specifically, this course covers the objectives outlined by CompTIA for its Linux+ exam and certification, an international industry credential that offers proof of knowledge in the following areas: Linux Basics, The Linux Desktop, Linux Help Resources, Linux Administration, Linux Shell and Command Line, Linux Directories and Files, Linux Text Editors, Linux Processes, Network configuration and hardware, Linux Services and Security. Not only does this course prepare students for the CompTIA Linux+ exam; it offers an excellent way to begin preparing for the Novell Certified Linux Professional (Novell CLP) practicum exam. In fact, after completing this course, students will have acquired one-third of the knowledge needed to become a full Novell CLP, the ideal certification for people interested in becoming Linux administrators. This course is intended for students who have a limited knowledge of the Linux Operating System and want to understand fundamental administration tasks on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 as well as those who are preparing for CompTIA's Linux+ exam. This course can also be used in place of (Course 3071) Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Fundamentals to prepare for the Novell CLP 10 (Certified Linux Professional 10) certification.
Prerequisites This course is designed for beginners who have an understanding of a Linux Operating System. Students are required to have only basic computer skills on any operating system. Knowledge of a Desktop Operating System is sufficient. |
