Course Length: 4 days. Includes a 90 minute closed book multiple-choice examination. Overview This course provides students with an introduction to the Service Lifecycle as a whole, including the principles, processes, functions and activities within the lifecycle phase, along with technology and implementation considerations. This course is designed as a free-standing qualification which will impart, test and validate the knowledge of industry practices in Service Management. Students will be provided with practical and hands-on learning experiences using a scenario-based approach. Audience This course is intended for CIOs, Managers, Supervisory Staff, Team Leaders, ITSM Consultants, Architects, Security Manager and Trainers, and those individuals who require an understanding of the Service Strategy phase of the ITIL core lifecycle and how to implement it to improve the quality of IT Services in their organisation. It is also appropriate for IT Professional working in a Service Strategy environment who require a detailed understanding of the concepts, processes, functions and activities involved. Outline
Prerequisites Students participating in this course must hold the ITIL® version 3 Foundation certificate, or version 2 Foundation plus version 3 Foundation Bridge certificate, and have at least 2 years of professional experience working in IT Service Management. It is also recommended that candidates read the Service Strategy book and familiarise themselves with the other core publications in advance.
