It is known to most IT professionals that certifications are to validate one’s IT working skills.  Besides being trained on a certification that is popular among employers’ and increases one’s market value, one tends to wonder which IT certifications one should invest their time and money on.

Conjure up an image of a typical corporate network and what do you see? Big clunky desk-top clients of various types and ages, running a wide range of applications, many incompatible. Or maybe expensive powerful PCs being treated like dumb terminals with remote-application software connecting to big application servers. Big clunky portable computers being lugged from place to place with short-life batteries and often duplicating what is on other computers somewhere else.
